On March 25 at 1pm, the Bishop's Palace will be hosting the talents of the Wells Cathedral School Junior String Ensemble for a lunchtime recital.

Wells Cathedral School Junior String Ensemble is a group of young string players between the ages 10 and 14.

Entry to the group is based on merit and the young students are very proud of their excellent reputation and high standard of performance.

The concert will be held in the conference room, upstairs in the main palace, and is included in general admission to palace and gardens.

The programme will include Ireland's Downland Suite, Piazzola's Libertango and Vivaldi's Concerto for 3 Violins - which is often considered one of Vivaldi's most striking concertos; with its virtuosic parts for three solo violins.

Previous lunchtime concerts at the palace have left standing room only, so be sure to arrive early to make sure of a seat.
