Wells Cathedral has unveiled a full programme of events for February, featuring a mix of choral performances, orchestral concerts, and community celebrations. Highlights include a performance of Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, a candlelit film music concert, and the annual Primary Schools' Outreach Celebration.

Promenade Concerts return on Tuesday 4 and Thursday 6 February at 7pm, offering audiences the chance to experience music while moving through the cathedral's open spaces. The concerts feature WCS Early Music and WCS Woodwind and Strings. Book tickets here.

On Friday 7 February, Armonico Consort: Supersize Polyphony 2 brings large-scale choral music to the cathedral. The concert includes Renaissance masterpiece Spem in Alium alongside new works by composer David Buckley. More details and tickets here.

Lunchtime music continues with Peter Stevens' organ recital on Thursday 13 February at 1.05pm, included with cathedral entry, with donations going towards the Grand Organ Appeal. Find out more.

Film fans can experience The Music of John Williams on Saturday 15 February, as the International Film Orchestra performs iconic themes from Star Wars, Jurassic Park, E.T., and Indiana Jones, accompanied by lighting effects. Tickets available here.

On Saturday 22 February, the Fulltone Orchestra presents Karl Jenkins' The Peacemakers, a powerful choral work celebrating peace and unity. Tickets can be booked here.

The month ends with the Primary Schools' Outreach Celebration Concert on Friday 28 February, where local school choirs join the cathedral's Junior Choristers for a special performance. The concert is included with cathedral entry. More information here.

Alongside musical performances, Wells Cathedral is also running Family Holiday Activities: Medieval Masterpieces from 17–19 February. Children can take part in creative sessions inspired by the cathedral's stained glass, astronomical clock, and carved stonework. Details available here.
