Wells businesses and organisations raise hundreds for Heads Up charity

Hundreds of pounds have been raised by businesses and organisations in the Wells area for the mental health and wellbeing charity Heads Up.

The South Horrington-based charity wishes to thank all of those who contributed money to the fundraising efforts of the organisations, which saw almost £800 being donated.

Burns The Bread donated £200. This money was raised from one of their regular evening tours of their bakery. They have been running the tours for more than 25 years to raise money for charities.

Cantabile Ladies Choir in Wells donated £150 from a recent concert, while at the Venue Club in Wells, the owner Sylvia Robbins recently held a raffle and raised £120.

Wells City News donated another £100 and owner Graham is a regular supporter of the Heads Up charity.

Wookey Hub and Avatar Personal Training helped raise £92.43 for the charity. Avatar Personal Training run free health walks in Wookey on Wednesday mornings, and many of their walkers make a donation to Heads Up and other charities.

Wells Cathedral donated £84.20 from their cathedral charity box, and at Daniels Cafe, owner Georgie Robbins and her staff have a Book Exchange and Card Sale in their cafe on Queen Street, raising money for Heads Up. They have recently raised £46.83.
