There are scheduled to be temporary traffic lights on the road to Dulcote Recycling Centre next week.

The lights are set to be in place on Monday (June 22) in Dulcote Hill Lane, Dulcote, close to the junction with Upper Wellesley Lane.

The reason they are scheduled to be there is to allow Western Power Distribution to undertake tree trimming works.

The company is planning similar tree trimming works in Silver Street, Wells, on Thursday (June 25) but without temporary traffic lights.

Other roadworks in the Wells area next week include:

The multi-way temporary traffic lights at the junction of Burcott Road and Balch Road to enable Truespeed to lay a duct and fibre optic cable are scheduled to be removed on Wednesday (June 24).

The temporary traffic lights on the B3139 through Dulcote, to allow Wales and West Utilities to replace a metal gas main with a plastic one, are set to remain until August 25.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Somerset Highways are scheduled to be replacing a sign on the Strawberry Way Roundabout and replacing two traffic bollards at the junction of Strawberry Way and Portway.

From Tuesday (June 23) to Thursday, Truespeed is set to be clearing blockages in ducts in Woodbury Avenue and Serel Drive.

Similar work by the company in St Cuthbert Avenue is due to be finished by Monday, and in Western Retreat and Durkheim Drive by Tuesday.

Truespeed's work to lay telecommunications ducts and chambers in Barnes Close and Fairways is scheduled to be completed by Tuesday.

Also, the firm's work to lay ducts and fibre optic cables in Kings Castle Road and Bekynton Avenue is set to be finished on Wednesday.

Finally, scaffolding permits are scheduled to end on Tuesday at 6 Sadler Street and 16A Union Street, and on Thursday at 60 St Thomas Street.
