Wells area planning applications October 9 to October 15 2019

Plans for rear and side extensions, new garage, perimeter walling and change of use from one dwelling to two dwellings at 2 Goodymoor Avenue, Wells, by Mrs Amanda May-Crook have been refused.

Planning applications submitted this week include:

Proposed dropped kerbs and creation of off-road parking at 5 Southview, Old Frome Road, Wells, have been applied for by Miss Kate Hurley.

Conversion of an existing agricultural barn, with proposed roof alterations, into a new residential dwelling (resubmission of 2018/3143/FUL) at Honeycroft Farm, Wells Road, Worth, has been applied for by John and Luana Law.

Proposed works to tree/s in a Conservation Area: T1 (Eucalyptus) - Fell; tree is unsustainable for size of garden and casts shade all year round; evidence of extensive fire damage; the tree will be replaced with a more suitable species at Gulleys, Rock Street, Croscombe, have been applied for by Mr Michael Garner.

Willow tree repollarding to approximately 5m covered by TPO M1131 at Alma Cottage, Long Street, Croscombe, has been applied for by Mrs Veronika Borzymowski.

Planning applications decided this week include:

Proposed secondary glazing of the north and west leaded light window in the Guild Room of Bubwith Almshouses, Priest Row, Wells, by Mrs Laura Baxter has been approved.

Erection of agricultural building on land to the north west of Broad Road, Priddy, by Mr Gerald Williams has been approved.

An application for prior notification of proposed demolition of all above/below ground structures at Travis Perkins Trading Co Limited, Strawberry Way South, Wells, by Mr A Petheram has been withdrawn.

An application for approval of details reserved by conditions 3 (materials) on planning consent 2018/2205/HSE at Free Hill House, Free Hill, Westbury-sub-Mendip, by Mr Andrew Buchanan has been approved.
