The Priddy Folk Festival, happening from 12th to 14th July, is calling for volunteers to help make this year's event a success. As a not-for-profit organisation, the festival relies on the support of enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join their friendly team.
In return for your time, you'll receive a full weekend ticket, including camping, allowing you to enjoy the festival when you're not on duty. Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet new people, make friends, and support the festival's fundraising for good causes.
Available Roles:
- Site Crew Team: Assist in building and dismantling the festival site, which involves manual labour both indoors and outdoors. This role requires physical fitness and a willingness to work in various weather conditions.
- Venue Team: Welcome attendees, ensure safety, and perform light cleaning duties across the marquees, village hall, and church. These roles are popular, so apply soon to secure your spot.
- Car Parking Team: Help visitors and crews park safely from Friday afternoon through Sunday. Be prepared to work outside and handle both cash and card payments.
- Camping Team: Assist campers with finding their pitches and addressing any queries. Shifts are available from Thursday through the weekend.
To apply, fill out the Stewarding application form and indicate your role and shift preferences. While the team will try to accommodate your preferences, flexibility is appreciated. Confirmed shifts will be communicated by 31st May.

This year's Priddy Folk Festival promises an exciting lineup of global folk acts, and highlights include Sunto Soussa, a phenomenal singer-songwriter representing the Griot tradition of oral history in The Gambia. Breabach, renowned as one of Scotland's most skilled and imaginative contemporary folk acts, will also take the stage. The all-acoustic group The Fugitives from Canada, described as the missing link between Leonard Cohen and The Pogues, is another must-see.
Other treats include the Gnoss from Scotland and the 15-piece Filkin's Ensemble, known for their distinctive orchestral folk style. Festival favourites Sheelanagig, featuring Aaron Catlow, will also return to delight audiences once more.
