By Laura Linham

11th Dec 2022 | Local News

If you've ever wondered about the bits of Wells Cathedral you've never seen before, wonder no more.

This video, produced by History Hit, shows the parts of the Cathedral not usually seen by members of the public.

Presented by Alice Loxton, she gets up close and personal with all aspects of the building's history and even abseils down the cathedral's facade.

The video shows the magnificent chained library and stones so weathered by time that they have been compared to a rolling ocean. Take a look at the Tracing Floor, Vicars Hall, learn the history of the Siege of Wells and catch up on the controversy about the Doubt statue installed by Antony Gormley.

See the view from the top of the building, and get up close and personal with the carvings on the West Front. This video shows Wells Cathedral as you've never seen it before.
