Truckfest South West is set to take place this weekend at the Royal Bath and West Showground in Shepton Mallet, promising two full days of truck displays, arena entertainment and family activities.

Running on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August, the long-running event features everything from vintage trucks to American Super Trucks, alongside live action shows and guest appearances.

This year's lineup includes cast members from the latest series of Gladiators. Quang Luong (Viper) and Alex Gray (Apollo) will appear on Saturday, followed by Toby Olubi (Phantom) and Karenjeet Kaur Bains (Athena) on Sunday.

The main arena will feature monster truck Swamp Thing, motocross stunt team Broke FMX, and the return of Monster Truck Rides. New for this year is live, family-friendly wrestling, taking place across the weekend.

Visitors can also take part in the Truck Pull Challenge, where teams and individuals compete to pull a truck over 20 metres. Led by strongman Mark Anglesea, the event is open to public and corporate entries.

Truckfest Event Director Colin Ward said: "For over 42 years we've been bringing together truckers, families, and fans for the event they love. Shepton Mallet has always been a favourite stop on the Truckfest tour, and we can't wait to welcome everyone back with even more trucks, entertainment, and family fun."

Tickets remain available online, with organisers encouraging early booking for discounted prices and quicker entry. Full details and booking options are available at www.truckfest.co.uk/truckfest-south-west
