Tri-shaw at The Lawrence Centre and new connections

The Lawrence Centre in Wells has been using the Wells Tris-shaw to take it's members on lovely trips around Wells in the past few weeks.

A wonderful, free initiative from the Wells Community Network that allows people who might otherwise be isolated in their homes to get out into the fresh air and go for a ride in and around our beautiful city. You can book a ride by contacting the Wells Community Network on 01749 467079.

Sharon Edmonds is delighted to have recently joined the team at The Lawrence Centre and will also be co-ordinating for the Wells Community Network. Having previously worked for many years at The Connect Centre in Wells, Sharon is really excited to continue working within and for the community that she loves.

The Lawrence Centre provides day opportunities for older people, including those living with memory loss and health issues. The sessions are full of activities and fun and the session leaders are always working hard to ensure the lovely members have an interesting and enjoyable day with us.

We would love to bring in some other activities and would ask that if anyone would be able to provide an hour of their time on a weekday morning (10.30am - 11.30am) then please get in touch with us. Magicians, crafts, singing, drumming, interactive talks...all activities considered! For more information, please get in touch with Sharon at The Lawrence Centre: [email protected] or call 01749 676839
