A Wells pub that has been serving pints for over 300 years has reopened after a shock closure last year.

The Globe Inn has a fresh start with new landlords, Chris Iles and Melissa Trott, who took over on Monday, 15 July. The pub is now back in action, ready to welcome the community once again.

Chris shared their excitement on Facebook, saying, "We look forward to running this once well-loved pub and becoming a part of the community, as well as living in the heart of this beautiful place. We look forward to seeing you all soon."

The Globe closed its doors last November, leaving locals dismayed when former landlords Dan and Mandy announced they wouldn't be reopening after what was initially a 'temporary closure.'

The unexpected news came as a blow to the community, who had come to cherish the pub as a local staple.

With Chris and Melissa at the helm, The Globe Inn is set to become a place to mingle, drink, eat and chat once more. Drop by and join in the celebration of its revival!
