Wells community choir welcomes new voices this term

Founded in 2012, The Chorus of Disapproval is a friendly community choir based in Wells that's opening its doors to new members this term.
Rehearsals are held every Monday during term time at Stoberry Park School from 7 pm to 8 pm. At just £4 per session, with no subscription fee and free music supplied, it's one of the most accessible ways to get involved in Wells' cultural scene.
Singing an eclectic range of pop, jazz, classical, and folk, the choir is all about enjoyment. No auditions are held, no music reading is required, and no previous experience of choir singing is needed. Members of all backgrounds are welcome.
The choir stages two public performances each year — one at Christmas and another in summer — hosted at city landmarks such as Wells Town Hall, St Thomas' Church, or The Bishop's Barn.
Rehearsals restart on Monday 22 September 2025, and newcomers can expect a warm, supportive welcome — whether you're a seasoned vocalist or simply eager to give singing another go.
