A Wells veterinary hospital has joined an exclusive global group after being awarded the Zero Pain Philosophy Accreditation, recognising top standards in pain care. Nurture Vet Hospital confirmed the achievement on Tuesday, 7 October 2025.
The accreditation places Nurture among only 18 practices globally, and just the second in the South West, to meet the rigour the scheme demands. It marks a significant milestone in the hospital's clinical credentials.
Veterinary surgeon Robert W. MRCVS and registered veterinary nurse Molly Down RVN led the accreditation effort, with Molly recently completing advanced anaesthesia training (PgC AVN). The hospital says the award reflects a team‑wide commitment to better pain protocols across routine, surgical, and chronic treatment.
Nurture operates 24/7 from its Wells base, with the same staff on duty in daytime and out‑of‑hours shifts, ensuring continuity of care. Clients from Weston and wider Somerset already using the hospital's services may benefit from consistent standards across both sites.
