If the cold weather and rain have you hankering for the warmth of the warm days and sipping cider in a field, you're not alone.

The fabulous local two-day music festival, Somerstock, is held in Somerton and this year will be headlined by the acclaimed jazz-funk band Shakatak.

Building on this exciting news, the Somerton Music & Arts Festival has revealed an expanded calendar of events.

The festivities kick off on 4th July with the renowned Fleetwood Mac tribute act, Fleetwood Mac, performing at St Michael's Church. The tribute band, celebrated as the UK's most authentic, comes with endorsements from Mick Fleetwood and praise from Peter Green's biographer.

The music extends into the weekend of 5th and 6th July with live performances in local pubs and venues. The festival will also feature a variety of attractions including a quiz, a historical walk, and performances by a ukulele band.

Cliff Bassett, festival chairman, expressed his enthusiasm: "This promises to be a very special event, and we are delighted to bring fantastic music to Somerton this July."
