Somerset’s smuttiest panto heading to Wells and Wookey
Somerset’s only touring adult panto group is back for a third year, bringing their unique brand of cheeky humour to seven venues across the county.
The Glastonbury And Street Pottymouth Squad (GASPS) will perform "A-lad-in (he loves a good rub)" at Wookey Hole Caves and at Wells’ Studio 24 at the beginning of next year.
This follows the success of their previous sell-out shows, Sinders and Snow *hite.
GASPS, which has raised over £20,000 to support local amateur dramatics, promises more risqué fun with their latest production. Familiar faces from Somerset’s theatre scene return, including director Brian Epps, who has been involved in theatre for over 60 years.
Epps said, “Wow, here we are again with another helping of pure and utter filth, and the people of Somerset absolutely love it. Our last show sold out in record time, and it seems getting tickets for Glastonbury Festival are easier than for our pantos.
“I cannot put into words the pure joy these shows bring to our cast and crew, and most importantly to our audiences who have completely taken us to their hearts, and come along to heckle, swear, sing and just be outrageous! Our first two pantos have been a phenomenal success, and we think A-lad-in will rub everyone up the right way and be even more successful.”
The Wookey Hole performance promises to be a highlight, while the Wells show at Studio 24 will feature a special panto party, where the audience can join the cast and crew for a night of music and dancing after the show.
Tickets for both the Wookey Hole and Wells performances start at £17.50 and go on sale from Monday, 8th July on the GASPS website: www.gspottymouth.co.uk.
