SEASALT has announced that its new Wells shop will open at 9am on Saturday, June 9.

The first person in the queue will be asked to cut the ribbon to officially open the new shop, and will also receive a £100 Seasalt voucher.

Work is under way to adapt the High Street unit, which was previously the Intersport Tony Pryce store.

This will be the Cornish clothing brand's third shop in Somerset, following others in Bath and Clarks Village, Street.

The company says that there will also be lots of treats and giveaways on opening day.

Seasalt co-founder and chairman, Neil Chadwick, said: "We're thrilled to be able to bring Seasalt to a town as beautiful as Wells. It's a brilliant location with many similarities to Cornwall, including the historical architecture and history. We're looking forward to welcoming everyone to our new shop."
