RTC involving a car into a house at Cheddar Moor Road, Clewer. Wedmore

WedmoreOne Fire Engine from Cheddar, Wells and a Rescue Tender from Glastonbury were all sent to a report of a car that had crashed into a property with possibly somebody still in the vehicle.On arrival crews confirmed that one private vehicle had collided with a domestic property. The driver of the vehicle was removed from the vehicle prior to the Fire Service attendance. A structural engineer was requested to make sure the building was safe. Fire crews also used props to secure the building. The vehicle was then removed from the building via a winch.A small gas leak was confirmed and the gas board attended to isolate the mains. The driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital by Ambulance.
