Roaring new dinosaur experience launches at Wookey Hole for summer 2025

Families heading to Wookey Hole this summer are in for a prehistoric surprise, as the attraction unveils its all-new Dinosaur Experience, packed with lifelike models, roaming rangers and hands-on fun.
The new addition has transformed the valley beyond the caves into a Jurassic playground, with moving, roaring dinosaurs ready to thrill visitors of all ages. The upgrade is one of the site's biggest this year, adding another layer of excitement to one of Somerset's most popular all-weather destinations.
Wookey Hole's Dinosaur Experience promises a "roarsome" day out, with the chance to stomp, roar and explore among the trees – and even meet a Dino-Ranger who introduces young explorers to cute baby dinosaurs.
The upgrade comes as Wookey Hole doubles down on its appeal to families looking for full-day entertainment, rain or shine. The new dinosaur zone joins a packed line-up of attractions already included with admission – from the legendary guided cave tours and 4D cinema to the Wookey Hole Circus, performing three times a day.
Other highlights include a huge indoor soft play area, pirate-themed mini golf, a vintage penny arcade, and the ever-watchful Witch of Wookey Hole, who is known to make surprise appearances.
Those wanting a longer break can stay on site in the family-friendly hotel, lodges or nearby campsites, with special packages available. And for adventurous teens and adults, Wild Wookey offers a physically demanding underground caving experience for ages 14 and up.
Wookey Hole is just a short drive from Wells and makes an ideal local day out or summer getaway. Tickets are available now via the Wookey Hole website.
