Road Traffic Collision, Persons Trapped at Polsham, Wells

Date: 25.09.2018Time: 23:23Location: Polsham, WellsDevon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service received a call from Avon and Somerset Police reporting a Road Traffic Collision with persons trapped at the above location.

Two appliances and a Rescue Tender from Glastonbury and Wells were immediately mobilised by Fire Control.

On arrival the officer in charge confirmed that a single vehicle had been involved in a road traffic collision, and one male of approximately 30 years old was still inside the vehicle and semi conscious.

Crews got to work to stabilise the vehicle. They then used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the casualty from the vehicle and left him in the care of paramedics.
