The trishaw service provided by the Wells Community Network (WCN) continues to attract attention in the community, offering rides that bring a touch of cheer, even amidst dreary weather.

Volunteer Chris Quenon was recently spotted navigating the trishaw to Heads Up in South Horrington, providing an opportunity for the charity's clients to enjoy a change of scenery and a breath of fresh air around the village.

The trishaw will also feature in the upcoming Wells Carnival on the 17th of November, with Maurice Day, the president of the carnival who has been integral to the event's organisation for many years, set to be chauffeured around the town.

This gesture comes as a warm welcome back to Day, following a stint in the hospital.

Feedback from residents who have taken rides in the trishaw has been positive, with comments highlighting the pleasure and novelty of the experience.

The WCN is now looking to expand its team of trishaw pilots. Interested individuals are encouraged to get involved by applying through the Wells Community Volunteer Network's Facebook page or by contacting the WCN helpline at 01749 467079.
