The release date for the next movie by Edgar Wright, Last Night In Soho, has been revealed by film distribution company Focus Features.

The movie is being directed by former Wells Blue School and Stoberry Park School pupil Wright, and it will be released on September 25 2020.

Universal Pictures International will release the film internationally. Last Night In Soho is Wright's follow-up to Baby Driver, and it is a psychological thriller that stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Thomasin Harcourt McKenzie and Matt Smith.

Also in the key cast are Michael Ajao, Synnove Karlsen, Diana Rigg, Terence Stamp, and Rita Tushingham.

Wright co-wrote the screenplay with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (Penny Dreadful), and the producers will be Nira Park, Working Title's Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner, and Wright.

Baby Driver was released in June 2017 and starred Ansel Elgort as a getaway driver alongside Jon Hamm, Lily James, Jon Bernthal, and Kevin Spacey. It grossed $226 million worldwide and remains by far Wright's biggest hit to date.

His other credits include Shaun Of The Dead, the Wells-shot Hot Fuzz, The World's End, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and TV hit Spaced.
