The Queen Victoria, in Priddy near Wells, Somerset, has earned a spot in the Good Pub Guide's list of England's most affordable and delightful pubs.

This establishment is celebrated for its exceptional value, offering an array of interesting dishes at reasonable prices.

Praised for its inviting and traditional interior, the Queen Victoria boasts an authentic design with bare stone walls, wooden ceilings, and either flagstone or slate flooring, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The pub's layout includes various rooms and alcoves, each exuding character and comfort.

Visitors to the Queen Victoria can enjoy the warmth of an open fire in a large grate or the cosy ambiance provided by a wood-burning stove located in the back bar. T

he dining area combines sophistication and rustic charm, featuring half-panelled and half-painted walls.

The pub is furnished in a classic style, with cushioned wall settles, sturdy farmhouse chairs, and a diverse selection of wooden tables. A notable spot is a cosy alcove formed by a traditional pew beside a screen settle, alongside high chairs positioned near the bar counter.

In terms of offerings, the Queen Victoria serves a variety of drinks, including Butcombe Bitter, Rare Breed, and a rotating guest beer on handpump.
