Police seek witnesses to break-in at Wells opticians

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses following a break-in at an opticians in Wells.

The incident happened between 9.35pm and 9.45pm on Sunday January 5 at the Vision Express shop on the High Street.

Entry was forced to the building and various items taken.

The suspects are reported to be two men, who were wearing balaclavas, black jackets and lighter coloured jogging bottoms.

They are thought to have been carrying a bag of some sort.

A police spokesperson said: "We're keen to hear from anyone who may have seen two men – matching the description – in the area either before or after the incident was reported to have taken place.

"If you are able to help, please contact us, quoting reference 5220003460."
