Police release images of suspects involved in Wells assault

Authorities are appealing to the public for help in identifying five men who are believed to have information about an assault in Wells that occurred on Sunday, March 26.

An unknown individual on Priory Road approached the victim in the early hours of the morning, and a group of unknown men joined in with the attack, punching and kicking the victim. The victim, in his 30s, was taken to the hospital for treatment and is now recovering at home.

Police have released descriptions of the five men they believe could assist in their investigation, along with their photos.

The first man is described as a white man between 18-25 years old with medium-length hair, wearing a dark t-shirt and blue jeans. The second is described as a bald white man between 50-60 years old, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, wearing a dark top, a green wax coat, and dark jeans.

The third man is a white man between 18-25 years old, around 5ft 9in tall, wearing a black baseball cap, dark jumper, and blue jeans. The fourth man is described as a white man between 50-60 years old, bald, wearing a dark zip jacket, dark top, and dark trousers. Finally, the fifth man is around 5ft 11ins tall, between 18-25 years old, with medium-length blonde hair, wearing a black jumper and dark trousers.

Police are asking anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact them immediately.

Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their Anonymous Online Form. No personal details will be taken, information cannot be traced or recorded, and you will not have to speak to the police or go to court when contacting Crimestoppers.
