Avon and Somerset Police have issued an appeal to the public for assistance in identifying a man linked to an incident of criminal damage in Wells.

On Monday, January 29, between 6pm and 7pm, CCTV cameras were targeted and damaged in Harewell Walk, prompting an investigation by local law enforcement.

The suspect, described as wearing all black attire, was captured on the affected CCTV footage.

Despite the low quality of the images, police are hopeful that someone might recognise the individual's distinct facial expression and provide information leading to identification.

In their quest to gather more evidence, Avon and Somerset Police are urging anyone in the vicinity of Harewell Walk during the incident who may possess additional CCTV, doorbell, or dashcam footage to come forward.

A police spokesperson said: "We appreciate the CCTV footage is not the best quality but we hope someone may recognise the distinct facial expression of the individual and be able to identify them."

To offer information, the public is asked to call 101 and quote the reference number 5224025002.
