Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for the public's help following a two-car road traffic collision in Dulcote.

The incident happened at about 10pm on February 5 on the A371 Bishop's Park Way at Dulcote just outside of Wells.

The collision involved two cars - a black Audi A3 and a grey Vauxhall Insignia - and resulted in the road been closed for several hours while emergency services supported the casualties and carried out an examination of the scene.

Drivers in both of the vehicles were injured and taken to Southmead Hospital, in Bristol. A man suffered leg and arm injuries, and a woman chest and facial injuries.

A police spokesperson said: "We're appealing for witnesses to the collision, especially anyone who may have dashcam footage of the incident.

"If you can help, please call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5220029736."
