Police are appealing for information regarding an assault on a man on Monday, February 27, on Old Frome Road, near Wells.

Avon and Somerset Police have released an image of a woman they wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

According to the police spokesperson, the victim was punched in the face during the attack.

The police have urged anyone with information or who recognizes the woman in the image to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 5223039725.

The police in Mendip have also shared the post on social media, requesting members of the public to come forward if they can identify the woman.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police on 101 as soon as possible.
