A planning application has been submitted for a new 64-bedroom nursing home to be built in Coxley.

The application from Marsden and Pearson is for the three-storey nursing home to be built on the current Meadow Bridge House and Two Rivers site, on the A39 Main Road.

The site currently is partly residential and partly a previously approved goods yard entrance.

If approved by Mendip District Council, the applicants say the nursing home will create 15 full-time jobs and 10 part-time roles.
