Planning application submitted for conversion of barn to home in Masbury

A planning application has been submitted to Mendip District Council for the conversion of a barn into a home in Masbury.

The application for prior approval for a proposed change of use of agricultural building to a dwellinghouse (Class C3) on land at Thrupe Lane, Masbury, has been made by Andrew Wyatt.

The agricultural barn is currently used for the housing of livestock and the storage of fodder, with access via a track.

Other planning applications in the Wells area that have been submitted to Mendip District Council this week include:

Conversion of redundant stone barn to residential unit on land at Nordrach Lane, Priddy, is wanted by Mrs Corin Campbell-Hill.

Works to a tree in a Conservation Area T1 - Pine - Crown raise to provide 50cm clearance from neighbouring roof at 4 Bell Close, Westbury-sub-Mendip, have been applied for by Mr Chris Hood.

Works to a tree in a Conservation Area T1 - Robinia - Fell at 27 St Thomas Street, Wells, are wanted by Miss Rachel Membury.

Application for approval of details reserved by conditions 6 (flooding - infiltration testing - Pre-commencement) on planning consent 2020/0636/VRC at Green Gables, Glencot Road, Wookey Hole, has been made by Mr D Ashbee.

Proposed replacement of front door and frame at Lantern House, 3 Penn Place, Carlton Mews, Wells, is wanted by Mrs Auburn Angas.

Application for approval of details reserved by condition 7 (Foul Drainage) and condition 8 (Surface Water Drainage) on planning consent 2019/1708/FULon plot north of Scarlet Withies Farm, Worminster Lane, North Wootton, has been made by Mr and Mrs Uphill.

Change of use of agricultural land to equine use (amended plans and description May 7) at Harptree Lodge, Roemead Road, Priddy, by Mr and Mrs Rob and Gill Banbury has been approved.

Installation of an air conditioning unit to rear elevation at 4 Brownes Place, Tucker Street, Wells, by Ms S McIntosh has been approved.

Single storey rear extension with garden excavation to allow extension, internal modifications and addition of garden terrace at Rose Cottage, Litton Lane, Litton, by Mr and Mrs M Goymer has been approved.

Proposed extension to existing outbuilding to create a gym and games room at South Mill House, Bishop's Park Way to Constitution Hill, Dulcote, by Mr and Mrs Bennett has been approved.

Application for a proposed lawful development certificate for the formation of structural opening at ground floor level erection of single storey lean to rear extension at Honeysuckle Cottage, Woodford Road, Woodford, Wells, by Mr Chris Donoghue has been approved.

Erection of summer house/entertainment room at Redhill Farm, Townsend Lane, Emborough, by Mr Alan Brown has been approved.

Application for approval of details reserved by conditions 7 (Bat Box), 13 (Surface Water Drainage), 14 (Foul Water Drainage), on planning consent 2019/1813/FUL at The Forge, Dark Lane, North Wootton, by Sebastian and Lizbeth Galbraith-Helps has been approved.
