A planning application has been submitted for yet another housing estate on the edge of Wells.

Gladman Developments have applied for outline permission to build 90 homes off Glencot Road, on the edge of Wells, Wookey Hole and Haybridge.

This greenfield site is outside of the Local Plan proposed development area, and will be discussed at St Cuthbert (Out) Parish Council's planning meeting on Wednesday April 1, at 7pm in Wookey Hole Community Hall.

Of the 90 homes, 54 will be sold on the market as usual, while the other 36 will be affordable housing. As this is an outline application, it does not include details of the number of rooms these homes will have.

Access to the site would be via an entrance off Wookey Hole Road, within the existing 30mph speed limit.
