Persons Rescued from Vehicle in Water at Wetmoor Lane, Yarley, Wells

Date: 09.04.2019Time: 16:35Location: Wetmoor Lane, Yarley, WellsOne fire appliance from Wells and one from Glastonbury were sent to a report of a vehicle, containing five occupants, stuck in water.On arrival crews confirmed that the vehicle was stuck in approximately half a metre of water in a ford. The water was slow moving and so there was no risk of the vehicle being moved. Fire crews rescued two adults and three children using water safety equipment and a short extension ladder.
