New names added to Wells Comedy Festival line-up

THE Wells Comedy Festival – now in its ï¬fth year – has announced a new batch of shows for its 2019 event.

Over the bank holiday weekend of May 24-26, dozens of comedy shows will take place at six venues in Wells.

Just announced are shows from Uncle star and Bafta nominee Nick Helm, Dead Ringers and Spitting Image impressionist Jan Ravens, Upstart Crow's Spencer Jones, Mock the Week regular Glenn Moore and Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee Lucy Pearman.

Plus, as they have all already sold out their initial shows, extra performances are now on sale for Taskmaster loser Phil Wang, Live at the Apollo star Ed Gamble and Mock the Week's Rhys James.

They join the already announced Nish Kumar, Mark Watson, Lost Voice Guy, Josie Long, Shappi Khorsandi, John Robins, Dave Johns, Fern Brady, Suzi Ruffell, Laura Lexx, Jamali Maddix, Geoff Norcott, Desiree Burch, Ahir Shah, Andrew Maxwell, Lou Sanders, Jayde Adams, Adam Riches, Abandoman (aka Rob Broderick), Tony Law, Kiri Pritchard-McLean, Luke McQueen, Harriet Kemsley, Bobby Mair, Rosie Jones, Alï¬e Brown, Stevie Martin, Jessica Fostekew, Jordan Brookes, Ben Target, Sara Barron, Adam Hess, Olga Koch, John Kearns, Stuart Laws, Annie McGrath, Pat Cahill, Foxdog Studios and the Comedians Cinema Club's Hot Fuzz.

Tickets for Wells Comedy Festival shows are on sale from www.wellscomfest.com. Further shows will be announced over the coming weeks.
