The young 'Mini Police' officers from Stoberry Park School in Wells concluded their nine-week educational program this week with a final visit to the police communications department.

Over the past weeks, the Mini Police have gained insight into the everyday workings of the police department, learning about different aspects of police work, culminating in a final lesson about the nature of emergency calls the department receives and how they respond to them.

The pupils' hard work and dedication haven't gone unnoticed.

For their exceptional efforts and completion of the program, the Stoberry Park School's Mini Police will receive the prestigious Duke of Cornwall Safety Award.

The Mini Police program is one of many community-based initiatives aimed at promoting civic duty and public safety among our youth. These young officers of Stoberry Park School have set a commendable example for their peers, proving that no one is too small to make a significant impact in their community.
