Wells Little Theatre calls for community support to fund lifesaving defibrillator

Wells Little Theatre is seeking public support to fund the installation of a defibrillator on their premises.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve survival rates from heart attacks, which have seen a dramatic shift since 1960.

Back then, 70% of heart attack admissions were fatal; today, more than 70% survive, thanks in part to the accessibility of defibrillators.

The theatre hosts four major events annually, attracting nearly 3,500 visitors through its doors.

With production costs rising, much of the theatre's budget is allocated to maintaining the quality of their performances, leaving little for essential health and safety improvements such as this.

Installing a defibrillator at the theatre could provide critical assistance in emergencies, not only for patrons but also for the broader community. Wells Little Theatre is appealing to all who value the arts and recognise the importance of community safety to contribute to their fundraising efforts.

For those interested in supporting this cause, the theatre has set up a donation page. Your contribution could make a significant difference in turning this vital project into a reality.

To donate, please visit their fundraising page. Remember, your support could save a life.gofund.me/ffbd5001
