A team of paranormal investigators have claimed to have heard the voice of the Witch of Wookey Hole while ghost-hunting in the caves.

Paranormal investigator Tony Ferguson, and his team of ghost-hunters – his wife Bev, 59, and investigators Debbie McAll, 51, and Emily Cowell, 38, of Ghost2Ghost – went into the caves led by tour guide Jamie Russell, but were left spooked after claiming they heard the hissing voice of the witch, as well as children's voices, and a male voice calling out to them.

According to Tony, the witch could be heard hissing at them, jeering "come to me", and even "kill her."

The group also spent some time in the hall of mirrors – believing mirrors to be portals.

The bones of the woman believed to be the Witch of Wookey Hole are held at the Wells and Mendip Musuem.
