Want free stuff? Got stuff to give away? Sustainable Wells has got you covered, with Freecycle events taking place in the city throughout 2023.

One of the growing trends, especially as frugality becomes more popular, is freecycling. Freecycling is the practice of giving your stuff away for free in order to avoid adding to a landfill.

People can take along items from the home they no longer use and offer them free to visitors. No money exchanges hands and Freecycle events reduce the amount of rubbish going to landfill. One man's trash can be another man's treasure.

The idea of freecycling is to promote the three R's (Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle) by making it easy for people to give away their unwanted but reusable items to people who can use them.

This year, the events will take place in the Priory Road/Good Earth car park, between 1pm and 2.30pm on the following Sundays in 2023.

  • 8th January
  • 5th March
  • 7th May
  • 2nd July
  • 3rd September
  • 5th November
