Heads Up, a community-focused organisation located in South Horrington has announced a series of adult learning courses available this spring and summer.

The courses will be held at Heads Up on Upper Breach, South Horrington, Wells, BA5 3QG, with pre-booking essential due to limited spaces.

These offerings are free for adults who are not currently in education, employment, or training, and for those with an annual income under £25k. For others, the cost is £20 per session.

The curriculum includes a variety of subjects:

  • Woodwork, with beginner sessions starting in April and more advanced classes continuing into July, taught by Colin Amos.
  • Wellness Photography, a single session on June 19 led by Adrian Wyatt, focuses on capturing therapeutic images.
  • Gardening, both introductory and advanced courses, will be instructed by Donna Bryan through spring into early summer.
  • Salad Days and Watercolour Painting taster sessions in late spring and early summer provide a brief glimpse into these enjoyable hobbies.
  • Reflexology and 5 Ways to Wellbeing, both offering starter and developer levels in July, guided by Vanessa Gordon.
