Seventy Ukrainian refugees enjoyed the peace of the Bishop's Palace gardens in Wells – a contrast to the pain and destruction inflicted on their country – and were welcomed by the Bishop himself.

This was followed by a tour of Wells Cathedral and tea in the Vicars' Hall.

These guests are living in the Yeovil area and were invited by WCN's Welcome Hub for refugees.

"Everyone in Wells was so generous with their time and their kindness," said Sue Pocock, manager of the Yeovil Welcome Hub, "and it was wonderful to see the beauty of the city."

The Wells Community Network arranged the visit and would like to thank the Cathedral Guides Margaret, Jane, John and Jo for arranging the tour of the building.
