Somerstock is a family-friendly music festival in the heart of Somerset. 2023 sees the introduction of a Friday night of music on the 7th July, before a full day of bands and family fun on Saturday 8th July. The festival site is on the edge of Somerton, with on-site parking and camping available.  

There are plenty of exciting events happening this weekend in Wells, and here are just a few of them.

On Saturday, 22 April, head to the Town Hall in Wells for the sixth annual Belles in Wells event. Starting at 10:00 am and running until 4:00 pm, this event is an excellent opportunity to discover lots of lovely local products and services.

Also on Saturday, don't miss the South West Craft Fair taking place in the beautiful Market Place in Wells. This fair brings together some of the best artisans, crafters, makers, and bakers from the South West. Whether you're looking for a gift, a treat for yourself, or some inspiration, this fair is the place to be.

Later on Saturday, head to The White Hart on Sadler Street for Absolute Oasis, an event that promises to provide all your nostalgic needs while the Gallaghers do their own thing. Running from 7:00 pm until 11:00 pm, this is the perfect event for those who love Oasis.

On Sunday, make your way to Christ Church in Coxley for an informal brunch starting at 10:30 am. The event includes food, an optional quiz, and a talk. There are also activities and crafts for children to do, making this an excellent event for the whole family to enjoy.

If you're a fan of theatre, then you won't want to miss Wells Little Theatre's production of Avenue Q. This show runs from 24th until 29th April and tells the story of a bright-eyed college grad named Princeton as he struggles to find jobs, dates, and his purpose in life. Please note that this show contains adult themes throughout and is recommended for those aged 15 years and over.
