Croscombe roadworks: revised dates for Long Street

Drivers travelling between Wells and Shepton Mallet are being advised of revised dates for roadworks on Long Street in Croscombe.
The works are now expected to start on Saturday, 6 June 2026, and last for eight days.
Work will take place between 9.30am and 3pm each day,and the road will reopen when no works are taking place.
The work includes phased preparation works, surface dressing, application of Kiely Lock and associated works.
This will include stud removal and renewal, as well as lining works.
Drivers are being advised to allow extra time when travelling through Croscombe while the works are underway.
