British lifestyle brand Crew Clothing has officially announced it will be opening a new store in Wells, adding to the city's retail offerings.

The store is due to open in mid-November at 51 High Street, the premises previously occupied by Quba and Co and East, and located next door to Coffee Zero.

Crew Clothing is actively recruiting staff for this Wells location, advertising for roles such as a store manager, who will work a 37.5-hour week, as well as sales advisors.

This new Wells store is part of Crew Clothing's wider expansion plans to open 40 new stores in UK market towns and coastal resorts within the next three years.

David Butler, CEO of Crew Clothing, stated, "There's plenty of evidence to suggest that people are shopping in stores again. Our footfall is back to pre-pandemic levels."

The company, which started in 1993 as a small menswear collection in Salcombe, Devon, has expanded significantly. It now operates over 101 stores with a workforce of 850 employees across the UK and Ireland. Brigadier Acquisition Company currently owns the brand.
