Nostalgia in motion: Crandon Springs hosts vintage car show

Crandon Springs Care Home in Wells recently hosted a classic cars show with members of the Classic & Historic Motor Club bringing a range of beautifully maintained vehicles for residents, and visitors to enjoy.

The event, held in the home's spacious car park, featured a selection of historic cars, with their proud owners on hand to talk about the history and upkeep of their much-loved motors. The sun shone so residents were able to enjoy the display up close though others chose to view from the comfort of the home's café, which offered a perfect viewing spot thanks to its floor-to-ceiling windows.

Refreshments were served in the café throughout the afternoon, giving visitors and residents a chance to chat and share memories sparked by the nostalgic vehicles.

Julian Barber, from the Classic and Historic Motor Club, said: "" It is always a pleasure for us to bring our classic cars to Crandon Springs Care Home. This is our third visit since 2024 with a record 11 cars for this event, and the weather was just perfect. We thank Crandon Springs Care Home for once again making us feel so welcome and for your wonderful hospitality. See you again in 2027!"

Crandon Springs Manager, Darius Ivana, said: "This was a fantastic afternoon for our residents and guests. The cars sparked many conversations and happy memories, and it was wonderful to see the enjoyment and enthusiasm on everyone's faces. We'd like to thank the Classic & Historic Motor Club for giving their time and energy to make the event so special."
