Make sure you don't end up with a rubbish or recycling truck at your Jubilee street party. And don't miss your collection day, as there are a number of changes to the collection days affecting recycle, rubbish and garden waste pick-ups, including assisted collections.

No collections Thursday, June 2; these will be on Saturday, June 4.

No collections Friday, June 3; these will be on Monday, June 6.

All collections for that week (w/c June 6) are one day later, including Friday 10 June pick-ups on Saturday 11 June.

Recycle sites open as usual. For details visit: somersetwaste.gov.uk/recycling/centres/

If you are having a street party on a collection day, Somerset Waste Partnership have issued the following statement:

"Many events are on Thursday, Friday or Sunday, when no collections are taking place.

"The vast majority of Jubilee events are in community venues and not in the street.

"All official street parties on Saturday, June 4 have been notified to us.

"We will work around any street parties on the same day as our collections by clearing waste earlier or later."
