Bristol Water to renovate 2.4km of mains pipeline near Wells after hedge removal is approved

Bristol Water is set to renovate 2.4 kilometres of mains pipeline near Wells after its application to remove hedgerows was approved.
Mr Nick Spellissy's application on behalf of the company for hedgerow removal between Hill Farm Road in Priddy and Back Lane in Litton to enable construction vehicle access was given the go-ahead this week by Mendip District Council planners.
Planning applications in the Wells area submitted this week include:
Installation of replacement windows and shopfront repairs (retrospective) at 58 High Street, Wells.
Conversion of Old Piggery Barn to a dwellinghouse, (including extension), and associated works at The Old Piggery Barn, Long Street, Dinder, has been applied for by the Dinder Estate.
Part retrospective proposed dwelling at Higher Farm, Old Frome Road, East Horrington, is wanted by Mr Dimery-Seek.
T1- Ash tree - fell due to ash dieback at Stonewalls, Litton Lane, Litton, has been applied for by Mr Ben Pritchard.
Application for approval of details reserved by conditions 3 (flood warning evacuation plan) planning consent 2019/1594/FUL at Canon Grange, Cathedral Green, Wells, has been made by Mr Bowes.
Application for approval of reserved matters following outline approval 2019/0035/OTA for the erection of an agricultural workers dwelling and associated access, matters of access/appearance/landscaping/layout/scale to be determined at The Portway, Turners Court Lane, Binegar, has been made by Mr D Harris and Miss S Jonas.
Works to a tree in a conservation area: T1 - Fir Tree - reduce crown x 1ft at West View, Station Road, Westbury-sub-Mendip, are wanted by Mr John Waters.
Application to vary condition 2 (plans list) of planning approval 2018/2531/FUL at Thrupe House, Thrupe Lane, Masbury, has been made by Mr Rupert Page.
Erection of glazed canopy to rear, canopy over door on side elevation, fence above garden wall, replacement windows at 7 Southover, Wells, has been applied for by Vickey Ellis-Jones.
