Starting on August 10th, the Flower Festival with Wells Floral Art Club will grace The Bishop's Palace & Gardens. This four-day event celebrates the beauty of floral arrangements and drawing inspiration from six decades of fashion and national events, it promises to be a feast for the senses.

For those looking for family entertainment, Wells Cathedral offers ongoing Family Holiday Activities until the end of the month. The Cathedral's magnificent architecture combined with engaging activities provides a unique family experience that both educates and entertains.

Meanwhile, all summer The Bishop's Palace and Gardens will be open and ready to welcome little visitors with family trails, storytelling and crafting sessions plus the ever-popular Dragon's Den play area to keep little legs busy. With a climbing frame, tunnel, waterwheel and sluice gates it's the perfect place for little ones to let their imaginations run wild.

Art lovers will find a delightful experience at Cathedral Green with the ongoing "DRAW!" exhibition, showcasing until August 30th. This artistic event is sure to inspire creativity and offers a glimpse into contemporary art techniques and styles.

Wells' Town Hall is preparing to host Railwells 2023, a two-day event on Saturday and Sunday dedicated to rail enthusiasts.The event showcases various model railway layouts, representing different eras, countries, and types of trains. It's not just for dedicated enthusiasts; even those without prior knowledge about trains can appreciate the craftsmanship, detail, and artistry that go into creating these miniature worlds.

Wells Film Centre is back in action after a power cut last week, with the following films on offer. Even better, for the duration of the school summer holiday, it's just £5 per ticket.

For those seeking a quiet community connection, St Michael's Church in Dinder is hosting "Coffee in the Village Hall" on Sunday afternoon. This event offers a chance to meet neighbours, enjoy fresh coffee, and create bonds within the Wells community.
