By Mendip District Council   26th Apr 2022

Voting options: in person, by post or by proxy
Voting options: in person, by post or by proxy

If you are a postal voter for this year's Somerset elections and have received your postal ballot pack, please complete it as soon as possible.

Postal voters must follow the instructions in their Postal Vote Statement and return it to the address shown on the prepaid envelope. You can also return your postal vote via any Royal Mail post box.

However, if time is running out, find a Priority Post Box near you. These boxes have late collection times, with 98% of them having a collection time of after 4pm, and some also have late collections at the weekends.

You can find a Priority Box in your area by visiting the Royal Mail website, here: www.royalmail.com/priority-postboxes. You may also hand your postal vote in at the Electoral Services Office, Mendip District Council, Cannards Grave Road, Shepton Mallet, BA4 5BT, or at any polling station in the voting area before 10pm on Thursday, 5 May 2021. Any votes received by the Returning Officer after 10pm on May 5, will not be counted.
