Experienced property professional Anne Garside MARLA has just taken the helm at the Lettings Department at Greenslade Taylor Hunt's Wells office.

Anne has worked for GTH for the past 11 years, most recently running the lettings section in Langport.

She and her family have lived in Somerset for the past 40 years so she knows the county well and is delighted to be heading up the Wells letting department.

"I have looked after the Wells portfolio for the last three years alongside Langport, but I am taking the opportunity to exclusively deal with Wells from the start of the new year."

Anne is a member of the Association of Residential Letting Agents, the industry body committed to driving up standards in the sector.

She keeps up-to-date with the latest legislation affecting the industry. She is keeping a watchful eye on the Renters' Rights Bill, which is currently before Parliament.

The Bill, which will go before the House of Lords later this month, will significantly reform the private rented sector in England.

Key provisions include the abolition of Section 21- so called 'no-fault' evictions, the removal of fixed-term tenancies, and the introduction of a new tenancy regime with enhanced property standards and regulations on rent increases.

In Wells there is demand for all types of property, but two and three-bedroom family homes are particularly sought-after.

Whether you are looking for a home to rent or are a landlord looking for advice on your property portfolio please call into the office at 74 High Street, Wells, or call 01749 605605 to speak to Anne.
