So far Wells SOUP has helped 63 good causes.

Now another four will be added with the support of Lodestone Property which has match-funded April 4's SOUP to the tune of £350.

"We are very happy to support any initiative that helps charities and brings people together," said Cathy Morris-Adams who co-founded the new local estate agents in September 2016.

"Lodestone wants to be involved in the local community."

SOUP is organised by Wells Independents whose Ross Young thanked Lodestone and said: "We are proud that more than 60 worthy causes have now spread their word and received much needed funding through our grant-giving lunch."

Lodestone sells and lets property from their offices in Melbourne House, Chamberlain Street, Wells, and Station Road, Bruton.

April 4's SOUP will take place in the Connect Centre, at the junction of Chamberlain Street and Portway, Wells, from 1pm to 2pm.
