Age UK Somerset invites the community to its Christmas Carol Service, a festive gathering at Wells Cathedral on Wednesday, December 13th, at 11 am.

This year's service is not just a yuletide celebration but also marks the remarkable 75th Anniversary of the charity.

The event is anticipated to be an exceptional blend of merriment and music, set to be grander in every way. The Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir, boasting 35 members, will perform, alongside the first public appearance of the charity's own Volunteer 'Choir of Angels'. The ensemble is prepared to fill the cathedral with majestic sounds that promise to be proud and potent.

Attendees will be treated to traditional readings and a selection of the season's most beloved carols, offering a perfect opportunity to capture the spirit of Christmas.

The occasion is open to all, young and old, and no tickets are required for entry. Guests are encouraged to simply arrive and enjoy the festive cheer.

While the event is free, Age UK Somerset hopes to receive "payments" in the form of enthusiastic and robust singing voices, regardless of musical ability. Any monetary donations will be gratefully accepted during the collection to support the charity's ongoing efforts.
