A care home is appealing to anyone who has been busy reorganising their garden during the lockdown.

Torrwood at South Horrington has two gardens that are in need of restocking so if anyone has any shrubs or plants that they no longer want please consider donating them to the home, said Julie Hanks, their volunteer co-ordinator.

They would also be glad of any donations of cut flowers and greenery from gardens to put in the residents' rooms and communal areas.

Julie said: "Due to the current restrictions on visiting, it is important that we continue to do everything we can to maintain the well-being of our residents and staff, and enjoying the gardens in the sunshine provides a welcome relief for everyone here."

To minimise the risk of contact, if people are able to drop off any plants outside the reception area Torrwood would be very grateful. Their contact number is 01749 675533.
