The organ at Wells Cathedral was repaired this week, thanks to a £10,000 donation given as a memorial.

The company Harrison and Harrison undertook the repairs, replacing the failing reservoir and repairing the gusset leather.

The cost of the repairs was £10,000, provided by John Parsons as a gift, in memory of his wife, Patricia.

There was no disruption for visitors to the cathedral during the works - the only thing they couldn't do was go through the arch underneath the organ to the Quire.
